That Boy That Girl

Alright so as I prepare for a little holiday across the pond this spring, I'm always on the look-out for new stuff to check out. If you've ever visited Nathan Barley's myspace page, you'll know something of the glory that is Hadouken. Anyways these neo-day-glo Hoxton Heroes put out some wickedly catchy songs with wickedly biting lyrics. They describe themselves as "indie/metal/garage" but anyone who has listened to them knows better At any rate, it's all in good fun and I'm looking forward to attending their CD release party on 9 March 2007 at London's Camden Barfly.

I almost forgot to title this one!

What better way to start out TrashStache's new year than with . . .
More Peter Doherty news!

Apparently he has denied the rumours that Thailand was the site of a secret wedding to Kate Moss. Dude, ya know he's nuts cos who would deny getting married to Miss Moss, especially if it were secret - no one would know! Hell, if people thought I'd married her, I'd go with it. But the reader comment is especially entertaining (albeit not entirely PC =)

"Kate always looks good. Pete always wears those clothes. And if champagne on New Year's is their evidence of a wedding, then, I'm sorry, they're retarded."

Okay, fair enough.

Other Libertines-related news: Dirty Pretty Things friggin got their rocks off this year with their first single (off Waterloo to Anywhere and also their first single as a band). At least in the eyes of NME. They released their Top 20 Songs of 2006 today. Dude, like "In the Morning" isn't a better track than "America?" (and now the inevitable crap I'll get for giving a feck about Razorlight . . . bring it on, I'm ready.)

One last year-end list: XFM's top videos of the year, which is kind of a fun one =) I've only actually seen the OkGo and Kasabian ones, but luckily all five are readily available on the site through the miracle of youtube! Yesssssssss.

till next time,
